First up is my new toothpaste. The folks at Sensodyne Pronamel sent over a tube of their Strong & Bright Enamel toothpaste to try out and I was immediately a fan. The toothpaste is designed to strengthen your enamel to give you healthy white teeth, it polishes away at any surface stains for white brighter teeth. We all want nice bright white smiles for the summer smiling and I have a wedding to think about.
I particularly like that the flavour of the toothpaste is not too overpowering compared to other brands, the tube packaging is well designed to avoid any wastage, and it sits on the lid which is perfect for storing on my bathroom shelf.
Avene Hydrance Optimale SPF20 Hydrating Cream
A few weeks ago I popped over to France to pick up the wine for our upcoming wedding. Whilst there we spent a lot of time in French supermarkets where I found this Avene Hydrance Optimale SPF20 Hydrating Cream. It’s a fabulous thick day moisturiser that sinks into the face quickly, making it ideal to wear under foundation. And anything that adds some extra sun protection is a winner. My skin reacts really well to Avene products and keeps my face feeling silky smooth.
Toni & Guy Heat Protection Mist
For my hair, I am using the Toni & Guy Heat Protection Mist several times a week before blowing drying. The packaging is excellent; the spray produces a wide fine mist that distributes well throughout the hair in just a few pumps. The result is hair that feels not only protected but with a bit of hold and volume too.
Anastasia Glow Kit
My favourite make-up product in the summer is undoubtedly my highlighter palette. I bought the Anastasia Glow Kit in Sephora, Canada last year and it’s a stunning collection of 4 shades of highlight. The powders are fine and offer a light shimmer across the cheekbones with enough colour differentiation to add subtle interests to each look I go for. It’s gorgeous.
Aveeno Daily Moisturising After-Shower Mist
Finally, we can’t get through the summer without some skin moisturisation. I have been using the Aveeno Daily Moisturising After-Shower Mist which is a genius packaging idea. It provides a fine mist all over the powder and makes the post-shower moisture routine a total doddle. Fair warning though, avoid spraying directly towards the floor if you have vinyl or tiles, it can make it tad slippery … (somebody may have slid across the bathroom whilst brushing their teeth…)
There you have it, my five favourite summer beauty products at the moment. You can shop them below if you like my recommendations.
