This week I received some incredibly exciting fantastic news. I’ve been shortlisted for an award! Wahoo!
I’m on the shortlist for the Community Star category in for the Thirty Plus Awards, a celebration of bloggers over the age of 30.
The awards are part of the Thirty Plus Collective which aims to celebrate bloggers over 30 AND to remind us all that it’s not always about the young’uns (as lovely as they are). It’s a great initiative and I love that there is this growing movement of diverse voices in the blogosphere no matter the age.
Being nominated is a wonderful feeling and I am so honoured to have been recognised for my work.
As you may know I put so much of my heart and soul into creating content and being an active member of the blogosphere.
I have always been super passionate about the power of blogging, the opportunity it gives for anyone to have a voice. The fact blogging has democratised content, allowed people from all kinds of backgrounds to create and be heard is something I cherish.
I have been blogging for 8 years now and had my online home here on Rosalilium for 6 years. It’s now very much a part of my life and has allowed me to pursue an interest into a career and now a business. I’ll always be grateful for all the innovation and opportunities that have led me here.
And that is why I will always do my best to help others out starting on their own journeys. I’ll always be willing to chat with, share and cheerlead my peers. I believe that we are only as strong as the community and industry we belong to.
So here’s to lifting each other up, celebrating successes, and working hard to create the best possible content we can.
Thank you to everyone who nominated me. You will never know how truly thankful I am.
The next stage of the awards is a public vote. If you would like to check out all of the awards and the nominees you can VOTE HERE.
