Outfit: Printed Tea Dress

I think a floral tea dress has to be one of my all-time favourite styles of dress. I love the feminine lines which are so flattering on most body shapes. The floral pattern and adorable colours. And they are so easy to wear. Every tea dress I own is super-comfortable to wear and versatile too! I wear tea dresses in every season – bare legged and sandals in the summer, opaque tights and layers in the winter. A printed tea dress is one of my wardrobe staples.

These photos were taken the day before yesterday, on the same day that I took these photographs of the spiderwebs covered in dew. I love the contrast in the light and weather between the two sets of photographs – a perfect demonstration of the British weather. We get ALL the weather in this country.

Dress Close Up

And what goes better with a tea dress than a pair of brogues, eh? These New Look pair are from a year ago and they’ve done me well. Though sadly I think they’re on the way out. Boo hoo!

But at least the sun has been out and I’ve been able to at least go without a cardi for some of the time (says the girl now snuggle up in layers of blankets).
