Outfit: What I Bought In the Boden Sale

Swishy green dress

Summer sales time! Whoop whoop! I’m trying my best to be frugal at the moment so I’ve only treated myself to just the one dress so far. It’s actually Amber’s fault. She makes me want to buy all the pretty dresses all the time. And when she shared some of Boden’sย Summer sale dresses I just had to clickthrough. The next thing I know I’m filling out my card detailsย and there’s a dress winging its way to me. Hoorah!

So, thanks Amber! I have a pretty dress.

Boden Summer Dress

This little green and white polka dot halterneck dress is probably the first time in over 10 years that I’ve worn such a style. I honestly cannot remember the last time I wore halterneck and I’m kinda sad I forgot about this cut. I like it.

Halterneck dress

As you can see the halterneck gathers high on the waist in this cute ruched (sp?) detail which I find rather flattering and makes me look … erm… rather booby (ahem).

Staring wistfully into the distance whilst trying not to laugh

Still, I wore it last weekend for my baby sister’s birthday. ’twas a bouncy castle kind of birthday which made this dress just that bit more fun. Yep.

For most of the party I donned a pair of pink sequin cat ears which were supposed to be a present for the little one. But they ended up on my head and I figured they suited me better. Ha! Since the white has left my system I have now returned said cat ears to my sister.

All in all, I’m pretty darn pleased with this dress. It makes me think of meadows and picnics and all kinds of whimsical shiz.

Now, pass me the picnic basket and let’s get this Summer on the road!
