Apparently some people have separate summer and winter wardrobes and will pack away a whole bunch of clothes each season to make way for the new stuff. I, on the other hand, like to wear the same clothes all year round. There is nothing a pair of tights and some layers can’t fix with a summer dress, and we all know how reliable the summer in this country is. I am always wearing sweaters and cardigans in the summer.
This purple plaid dress is a perfect example of a summer dress that I have made good for winter. I simply popped a turtle-neck top on underneath and teamed with thick tights and winter boots. Of course, shortly after taking these photos I piled on the thick cardigan and scarf. But the little sleeves were too cute to keep hidden from you. (Yes, I know, I should probably find an iron at some point in the near future).
To add some festive spirit I donned a shiny brooch, and for change wore my dangly earrings from Laos. Purple, black and brown is one of my favourite colour combinations. It is so wrong it is right. Yep.
It’s so close to the big C-Day! Are you excited? I am currently sat in a tinsel clad room with a flickering tree by my side. I have already watched two of my favourite Christmas films and I have been supping at a glass of Baileys every night this week. Festive cheer is certainly here.
**Also, thank you to everyone who has entered the Rosalilium Christmas Giveaway. It has been wonderful to hear about your favourites, and it is always a pleasure to introduce people to awesome independent businesses. There are 3 more to enter, so get involved!**
