A couple of weeks ago I trotted down to London-ish to the beautiful Hampton Court Palace where I spoke on the Pinterest Panel at Kirstie Allsop’s Handmade Fair. To say it was a frantic rush to get there on a Friday morning just around rush hour would be an understatement. Running through the field of a car park, dashing past security yelling “I’m on stage in 20 minutes” I managed to get to the Green Room at the Super Theatre just in time to get mic-ed up, have a bottle of water thrown in my hands and say a quick hello to Kirstie Allsop.
And then we were on! Myself along with Zoe from Craft Candy and Torie from Torie Jayne spoke to Lizzie from Pinterest UK about how we use Pinterest, what works for us, what we love as well as answering some questions from the audience. It was so much fun!
I joined Pinterest back in 2010 (founder Ben Silberman commented on blog back then!) and have loved it ever since. So I was in my element talking about one of my favourite websites on the internet. And totally honoured to be called a ‘Super Pinner’. Blimey.
After our performance panel discussion we all headed out into the fair in search of grub and enjoyed a delicious lunch together, nattering away for a good long while. In fact, had we not had work to do I reckon we could’ve talked our lungs off all day.
So the boyf and I went for wander around the Homemade Fair, taking in the all the fantastic sellers in the marketplace, watching some of the craft tutorials, listening to some amazing singers and generally enjoying the buzz of the fair.
Afterwards we took a walk around the grounds of Hampton Court Palace. It’s been on my to-do list for yonks. And even though we need to head back for another outing to take a look around the actual palace, the grounds are beautiful.
All in all a hectic, fun, inspiring and lovely day at the Handmade Fair at Hampton Court Palace with Pinterest UK.
