On Wednesday this week, Rosalilium has officially been my space on the internet for 6 whole years. Hoorah!
That means we are well and truly settled into first school and in our big girl pants now.
I can’t quite get my head around how long it has been already. I mean, I have actually been blogging since 2008, but that doesn’t count. To think that I have well over 1125 posts published here on Rosalilium.com is astounding. Gosh.
Thanks for listening you guys!
This Wednesday my beloved went out to the shops to pick up some food for lunch.
I was starving…
We had nothing in the house and to be honest, I was feeling a bit under the weather so I was working from my bed.
And my hunger continued to ride on out as my dear beloved seemed to take an inordinate amount of time to pick up the chicken for some sandwiches.
I mean, really… how can it possibly take over an hour to pick up a cooked chicken from our local supermarket?!
With my stomach beginning to eat itself I was verging on hangry …
But sure enough, home he did reach and promptly ordered me to close my eyes as he came up the stairs.
Still too focused on the grumbles in my belly I was none the wiser to any surprises, nor did I question why my eyes were closed.
I opened my eyes to this beauty! A giant gold number 6 balloon! Hoorah! It’s so pretty, and big, and marginally ridiculous. I love it.
He also bought me a huge bunch of flowers, roses and lilies, the flowers that this blog is name after. How super thoughtful is that.
I also had a super cute card and a mini sparkler in the shape of a 6.
He is the best!
These past 6 years have been life-changing, and as I scroll back through my posts over the years I am humbled to see how far I’ve come and it is totally thanks to the encouragement of you guys, my readers.
I am super lucky to have the nicest people read this blog. And even luckier that I now get to call this my job.
I do have a few more thoughts and reflections on my time blogging and creating content here on the interwebs. But I’ll save them for another time.
Today I would like to give something back and invite you to share the celebrations with me.
I would like to give you the chance to win a £60 Amazon voucher to spend on anything you wish. This isn’t sponsored by anyone, and is no affiliation with Amazon. This is me, sharing a treat with somebody else in my community.
What d’ya think? Fancy a punt?
