Selfridges in Birmingham have launched their Christmas Emporium and it’s a lovely Christmassy place to be. I popped along to the launch last week to sample some of the special Christmas range in the Food Hall, check out the new Christmas gift sets and meet the Elfridges, the new personal shopping assistants.
Those marizpan brussels sprouts are my favourite! There are so cute. They are all handmade and you’ll be pleased to know they don’t taste like actual brussels sprouts. They are pure marzipan, through and through. I think a pack of these would make a great quirky stocking filler.
Selfridges have a cute range of ready made gift sets themed around various interests – from the film buff and breakfast lover to the Gin and Tonic enthusiast and Cocktail Lover. The latter gift set looks stunning with its rose gold jigger and fine martini glasses and a bottle of Sipsmith Barley Vodka which has some rather awesome packaging.
The Selfridges range has something to suit all budgets, from the £10 marzipan brussels sprouts to the £115 gift sets. You know the quality can be trusted and there is something that feels rather special about a Selfridges purchase.
My favourite part of the Christmas Emporium was defintely the Elfridges. They have the coolest jackets, reminiscent of the Pink Ladies and they are well versed in EVERY product in the store. They are on hand throughout the holiday season to help find the perfect gifts. I had a chat with them at the Birmingham store and they are super-excited to start helping folk with their Christmas shopping. And for those not near a Selfridges store, there is also an Elfridges option on their website.
So there we have it. I am officially getting in the mood for the festive season. Yes it might still be October but I don’t care. I LOVE Christmas and this has totally got me in the mood. Hoorah!
