Summer Lookbook Photoshoot

lunch in Prezzo

Last week I popped over to West Bromwich for the day to take part in a shopping challenge at New Square shopping centre followed by a delicious slap up meal at Prezzo.

The sun was out and I’ve heard that it was the warmest day of the year so far. Perfect for a day of shopping and gallivanting around in new clothes.

I had just an hour and a half to put together three outfits for the photoshoot from the shops at New Square. I do love a good challenge and it was super fun to go racing around the shops, strategising where to pick up each item and visualising the finished looks.

It was cutting it fine but I managed to style up 3 different looks for a casual, fun May Bank holiday vibe with items from 9 shops. Impressive, eh?!

All that shopping was thirsty work so thankfully I was treated to a lunch at Prezzo to rest up before the photographer came along.

Raj ordered the most gigantic pizza, the new Duck and Sweet Chilli executive pizza. Apparently it was rather tasty if rather huge! Be hungry if you choose this one.

I chose the pork belly with marsala sauce and loads of veggies. It was incredibly delicious and flavoursome. I’m ordering that one again!

I haven’t really frequented Prezzo that often but I was impressed by their service and the huge choice on the menu. I sometimes struggle with Italian style restaurants if their menus are overly cheese-based. But Prezzo was spot on with their range. I could eat there everyday to try out another new dish!

Being a weekday we were fortunate to enjoy a chilled out vibe in the restaurant. And overall I was super happy with a relaxing lunch.

After I was fed and watered I was straight into the changing area to start styling up the outfits I picked. A photographer from the local newspaper came along, and with a bit of a minor crowd watching and (a few heckling) we spent an hour photographing each look.

I honestly, had so much fun with this experience. I was positively buzzing afterwards.

I am so happy with the final result. The newspaper will printing the photographs this weekend (I think), so I’m super eager (and marginally nervous) to see the results.
