Whenever I am having a blue day I find myself dosing up with copious amounts of tea and browsing through all my travel photographs. I start to long for Southeast Asia and all those wonderful memories. I reminisce about all the wonderful people I met, the incredible food I tasted and all those amazing views I witnessed. These are a few of my favourite photographs that give me a warm feeling in my tummy every time I see them.
(With my beautiful cousin and travel companion)
(Sunset over the Mekong River, Luang Prabang)
(Being blessed by a Buddhist Monk at Doi Suthep temple, Chiang Mai)
(Delicious Amok in Cambodia)
(Buddha Head in a Tree in Ayutthaya)
(Sunrise at Angkor Wat, Cambodia)
(Royal Palace and Night Market in Luang Prabang)
(Making Offerings for a Buddhist Ceremony in Chiang Mai)
(Night Market in Luang Prabang – where I carried out my research)
These are just a few of the thousands of pictures I have taken over the two trips I have made to Southeast Asia. But they give you an idea of how truly beautiful and wonderful this area of the world is, and it remains very special to me.
