Why?
– With alot of “spirit & a Mixer” drinks, the spirit tends to get stuck at the bottom of the drink and sit there until your at the end of your beverage. You can either keep mixing this as you drink or turn the ice thats usually piled in to provide some flavour and some of that alcohol at the top of the drink. When made the ice will rise to the top and start melting. As you drink this, the juice will add flavour and the vodka will sit at the top among the ice – making sure your alcoholic beverage tastes like it’s meant to from top to bottom. You can do this with any mixed of juice and flavours you like.

p.s. if you’re straw inclined then this will work the other way, you’ll sip at the vodka at the bottom and the melting vodka at the top will still be there as you drink away 🙂
