The Good Life Unravelled: Ep. 2 – Hannah Bullivant on Seasonal Living, Journalling and Anxiety
In today’s podcast episode I talk to stylist, writer, seasonal living advocate, planning enthusiast, and blogger, Hannah Bullivant.
I have been friends with Hannah since we were at uni together many years ago, long before I started this blogging malarky. We’ve ended up crossing paths many times with shared interests and experiences along the way.
I think we both started blogging around similar times around a decade ago and I’ve loved following along as Hannah shared her ideas for living seasonally, creating beautiful interiors, and just being an all round brilliant creative human being.
Hannah has also been quite open up her anxiety and I’ve found it so useful to have somebody else share their day-to-day experience of living with it.
When I came up with the idea for The Good Life Unravelled I knew Hannah was the perfect match, and I was super excited when she immediately said yes to chatting to me.
I admire Hannah’s openness, creativity and enthusiasm, not to mention her talent. I wanted to chat to her about living with anxiety and how she approaches sharing the experience online. We talk about the physical manifestations of anxiety and what tools Hannah uses to help. We also talk about the usefulness of having the language to understand what our bodies are experience and how that empowers us to make changes and cope.
We also talk about what it means to embrace the seasons and how seasonal living is a form of mindfulness. This also leads into a discussion about all kinds of seasons including female cycles.
Finally, we talk about Hannah’s number one tip for living a good life, and that includes prioritising pleasure, self-care and putting your needs first in order to be an effective, self-aware human being.
