In today’s podcast episode I talk about how I quit social media for 2 months. This is a solo episode where I go into detail about my history with social media, and what led me to the point where I had to unfollow everybody, deactivate accounts, delete apps, and force forget passwords.
I describe how I felt during that period without social media, and what the benefits of that time was. I also share my understanding of how social media works in our lives and how to shift our mindset around it.
Plus, I give some of my tips on how to delete social media, or at least have a social media detox for a period of time.
Overall, the period I had without social media was incredibly freeing and uplifting. It made me feel more grounded in the every day. And it freed up my brain space to start thinking creatively again. I realise now that it is the constant reacting to other people’s lives that was preventing me for being active in my own life.
